Premium Genetics | Feminized & Autoflower | Minneapolis, MN

Ready to grow your own? Simply Crafted is the Twin Cities’ trusted source for high-performance cannabis genetics. Whether you’re a first-time grower looking for an easy "set it and forget it" autoflower or a seasoned cultivator hunting for award-winning high-THC cultivars, our seed bank is curated for success in the North.

🌱 Feminized Seeds

The gold standard for maximum yield and potency. Our feminized seeds are genetically screened to ensure 99% female plants, saving you time and space. Perfect for indoor tents or controlled greenhouse grows where you want to master the art of the harvest.

Autoflower Seeds

The "Express Lane" to harvest. These seeds are engineered to flip from veg to flower automatically, regardless of light cycles. Ideal for beginners, small spaces, or multiple harvests in a single Minnesota summer. Fast, resilient, and beginner-friendly.

🧬 Elite Genetics & Breeder Cuts

We partner with world-renowned breeders to bring you stable, high-terpene genetics. From classic "Gas" profiles to the newest "Dessert" strains, our seeds are stored in a climate-controlled environment to ensure maximum germination rates.

Why Source Your Seeds Locally?

  • Freshness First: Unlike seeds that sit in hot warehouses or cross international borders, our stock is managed locally at our Northeast Minneapolis showroom.

  • Cultivator Support: Not sure which strain fits your setup? Our 21+ expert team is here to help you choose the right genetics for your specific environment (Indoor vs. Outdoor).

  • Farm Bill Compliant: All cannabis seeds contain 0.0% THC and are 100% legal to ship and possess under the 2018 Farm Bill.

  • The Legacy Standard: We apply the same award-winning scrutiny to our seed bank that won us "Best Chocolate" at the Legacy Cup.

Minnesota Home Grow: The 2026 Quick Start Guide

Welcome to the Bold North’s home-grow era. Growing your own cannabis in Minnesota is rewarding, but our short summers and specific legal limits mean you need a solid plan. Whether you're growing in a Northeast Minneapolis basement or a backyard in Duluth, here is how to get started.

1. Know the "8-and-4" Rule

In Minnesota, adults 21+ can legally grow cannabis at their primary residence. However, there are two strict numbers to remember:

8 Total Plants: You can have up to 8 plants at any one time.

4 Mature Plants: Only 4 of those plants can be in the "flowering" (mature) stage at once.

Privacy is Law: Your grow space must be enclosed and locked, and not visible to the public. If growing outdoors, a locked fence or greenhouse that obscures the view is required.

2. Choosing Your Seeds: Auto vs. Photo

Because Minnesota has a short growing season (roughly late May to early October), your seed choice is the most important decision you'll make.

Autoflowers (Best for MN Outdoors): These seeds flower based on age, not light cycles. They typically go from seed to harvest in 75–90 days.

Why use them: You can plant in June and harvest in August, completely avoiding the early October frosts and "bud rot" from autumn rains.

Photoperiods (Best for Indoors): These require a change in light (12 hours of darkness) to flower.

Why use them: Indoors, you have total control. If growing these outdoors in MN, you must choose "Fast Version" or "Early Finisher" strains, or they won't be ready before the snow flies.

3. The Minnesota Outdoor Timeline

Mid-April: Start your seeds indoors. Cannabis seedlings are delicate; giving them a 4-week head start inside ensures they are strong enough for the wind.

Late May (After Memorial Day): This is the safe zone for transplanting outdoors. Even a light frost will kill a young cannabis plant.

August: Your photoperiod plants will naturally begin to flower as the days shorten. Watch for "male" plants (pollen sacs) and remove them immediately to protect your "females" (buds).

Late September/Early October: Harvest time. Keep a close eye on the weather; if a hard freeze is predicted, harvest early!

4. Indoor Growing: The Year-Round Option

Since our winters are long, most Minnesotans prefer a small indoor tent.

Ventilation is Key: Minnesota homes get very dry in winter and humid in summer. Use an inline fan with a carbon filter—this keeps your air fresh and ensures the "skunky" smell stays inside your tent.

Lighting: Use full-spectrum LED grow lights. They are energy-efficient and won't spike your Xcel Energy bill as much as old-school bulbs.

5. Harvesting & Curing

Don't rush the finish line! After cutting your plants:

Dry: Hang them in a cool, dark room with a fan (not blowing directly on them) for 7–10 days.

Cure: Place your trimmed buds in glass jars. Open the jars for 10 minutes a day ("burping") for the first two weeks. This develops the flavor and potency Simply Crafted is known for.
